2016 Program Achievements
Here is a look at what our organization was able to achieve in the year 2016, with the help of our wonderful staff, volunteers, donors, and supporters.
Early Intervention- Increased the number of groups to 3
- Added additional parent group - Now offering limited specialty groups, i.e. Baby Sign - Hired new staff - Increased referral sources - Built relationships with other, local complementary programs - Completed Battelle Assessment tool training to improve assessments - Improved EI classroom and office with new toys, paint, carpeting, improved equipment |
Family Support Services- Increased Parent Aide Program staff by 100% - from a 2 to 4 full-time staff team
- Completed 4 8-week Parenting Class cycles, with an average of 32 parents graduating from each class - Young Parent Support staff assisted 75% of YPS families who were living in shelters at the beginning of their program to find suitable housing |
Nursing - Assisted 80% of Nursing Clients with appropriate Early Intervention for assessment and follow-up services
- 100% of infants consistently gained in weight and length from birth to two months of age - 100% of Nursing Clients were assessed at birth, one month, and two months age for parent-child interaction, parenting skills, feeding techniques, home environment, and infant physical and nutritional assessment |
