Tax Reform Implications

12/21/2017

Dear Friends of Pernet,

Rules for charitable giving very well may be changing in the new year.  Vulnerable non-profits and the families they serve depend on these contributions in order to continue the indispensable work in your community.

The support of individuals, like you, makes an enormous impact on the lives of the 10,200+ individuals that receive services from Pernet each year.  These programs support the neediest among us, providing food and infant supplies to families in crisis, provide the support and learning for the young struggling to keep up, and to families working towards deeper bonds and greater self-sufficiency.

Your contribution is more crucial than ever.  These new tax laws put significant pressure on organizations, like Pernet, that rely upon the generosity of individuals in our community for funding.

Please consider giving your 2018 charitable donation now.  Each dollar will help support families in need in your community in the new year and beyond!
To give, please visit Pernet’s website at www.pernetfamilyhealth.org/contribute.html and follow the link to PayPal.

We appreciate your consideration.  We wish you and yours the happiest of holidays!

Sincerely,
Sheilah H. Dooley                                                                             Jack Woods

PS –  Tax incentives for giving very well may disappear in the new year, so make the most of your 2018 gift by giving today.

For the second part of our armor presentation, tour and workshop to the Worcester Art Museum, Youth Group learned how to make Aluminum Drawings of medieval themed designs. We then used black ink to darken the edges of our drawings. Thank you to the Worcester Art Museum for a great fieldtrip!

Youth Group is now participating in a four part Nutrition Class series with the UMass Extension Nutrition Education Program! Each class, we learn about a different nutrition topic and make a healthy recipe together! This week we made Pineapple Snap made with apples, orange juice, carrots, raisons, pineapple and low fat vanilla yogurt! Last week we learned knife skills and made a delicious Stir Fry!
