Carisa has been in the Early Childhood field since 1993. Working with
high-risk populations through which she developed a deep passion for
working with families. She has worked as a classroom teacher, a director,
a family childcare provider, a program coordinator, an administrator, and
a crisis interventionist for high-risk youth. During her work with Head
Start, she worked with University Without Walls to obtain her bachelor’s
degree at UMass Amherst.
Carisa’s first passion is being a mother of her three amazing children:
Kiara, Jake, and Ryan. Carisa loves to spend time with her kids, grandkids
(7 of them) as well as her parents and extended family. She also loves to
spend her weekends on home improvement projects.
