Carisa has been in the Early Childhood field since 1993, all of which spent with high-risk populations through which she developed a deep passion for working with families. She has worked as a classroom teacher, a director, a family childcare provider, a program coordinator, an administrator, and a crisis interventionist for high-risk youth. During her work with Head Start, she worked with University Without Walls to obtain her bachelor’s degree at Umass Amherst.
Carisa is the proud mother of three. Kiara (32) has her Master’s in ABA therapy and is a clinical director; Jake (29) is Full-time Firefighter/EMT/and soon to Paramedic; Ryan (17) is in an advanced manufacturing program at his high school where he is entering his senior year. Carisa loves to spend time with her kids and grandkids (6 soon to be 7 of them) as well as do home improvement projects.
