Fourth Trimester Screening Program

Pernet’s Fourth Trimester Program offers a one-time, free, and voluntary home visit for Worcester families in the early postpartum period. The visit includes a newborn weight check, infant and maternal vital signs, postpartum depression (PPD) screening, feeding assessment, and education around newborn care and maternal recovery.

Families can connect with the program through a hospital, primary care provider, doula program, or by contacting Pernet directly.

Lactation and infant feeding support is provided by a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC), with referrals to an IBCLC if needed. Families may be assessed for additional support and connected to our Certified MCH Program when appropriate.
